About the Artist:
"With the thrill of capturing all the beauty of special moments to preserve memories, Joann K. Long’s photographs are a means of pleasure - to take, to view, and to share. Her photographs have been displayed in numerous regional galleries and exhibits, as well as publications and magazines like Life in the Finger Lakes, 55 Plus, Rochester Magazine, RIT Signatures Magazine, The Daily Messenger, the Democrat & Chronicle, and various business calendars. She has earned top honors in several photography contests including the Idaho Field of Corn, Ontario Pathways Art Trails, and Life in The Finger Lakes Magazine multiple times.
Retired from both her computer consulting career and a mounted police style horse training business, she continues to be committed to contributing to her community and assisting others. She is the former President of the Finger Lakes Photography Guild, chaired the club’s education committee, and donates her photography skills to the Genesee Country Village & Museum. In addition to her photography endeavors, she is a passionate volunteer firefighter for the Pittsford Fire Department. She enjoys walking her dog, Marley, and recently they completed the training for therapy dog service.
Joann hopes you enjoy her photographic interpretation of the beauty that surrounds us!"
